Katherine started 35 years ago in Medicine Hat at a wig and makeup
studio, she specialized in weddings grads and special occasion makeup.
She started training with the owner in everything
nails including manicures and artificial nails.
She moved to Lethbridge in 1986 to work and study with an instructor,
originally from California who was skilled with silk wraps and pedicures.
In 1987, She decided to move to Vancouver and fell in love with the city!
She was employed right away at a beautiful high end and
exclusive boutique spa on South Granville called Blanches.
She was soon offered a full time position at the downtown
Eaton's department store salon, which she jumped on!
She learned and honed her skills in mani's/pedi's, waxing,
makeup lessons AND special occasion makeup. She stayed with
Eaton's throughout 1996 while keeping busy with other things.
In 1990 she started casual part time work with Chanel.
She enjoyed visiting the various department stores that
carried the brand typically 2-4 days a month demonstrating
new Chanel products and makeup applications.
She continued this for 2 years.
In 1990 she was employed part-time at Blanche Macdonald
Institute as an instructor for the mani/pedi, artificial nail course.
This was a British Columbia Licensing Accreditation course
required to practice in the province.
Students would pay to write an exam as well as a
practical exam and and also pay yearly dues.
This was to ensure standards would remain high.
This class was 2 days a week for a total of 350 hours and her
class size was any where from 12-24 students,
She loved the hands on instruction, theory, and model work.
In 1996 Katherine moved back to Alberta to start a family in
and has been calling Lethbridge home ever since.
She rejoined the work force and became self employed
in 2010, then went on to open a private shop in 2015.

consultations/lessons to teach you how to shop for your needs,
use what you have, and get value when you shop.
Katherine's philosophy on skincare products and makeup
has evolved and changed over the years.
She has worked with many lines and continues to educate
herself on new skincare products and makeup lines.
Though her philosophy on skincare products and makeup has evolved she believes most
people don't have unlimited beauty dollars but do deserve value for their dollar.
